Westside Care Center on Bidwell Street in Manchester recently celebrated receiving a Five Star CMS Rating. An iCare managed, 162 bed facility, Westside specializes in memory care, short term rehab and substance use disorder treatment through the iRecovery program. The coveted Five Star overall rating was accompanied by a Five Star quality measures rating. The community’s staffing ratios and health inspection make up the other core components of the rating.

Members of the Touchpoints community team taught and coached a group of folks from the Windsor Senior Center in the use of a simple, standard hula hoop as an exercise, balance and agility tool.This light exercise and training program is exclusive to Touchpoints Rehab. The program is designed to immediately improve upright posture, upper and lower core strength, improve balance and reduce falls.
